Addie finished up her 8-week obedience class yesterday. We got there after breaking up a fight between Addie and Roxy at Mom's house, and after chastising Addie for leaping over the back seat and making her way to sit beside me in the car, which she is NOT allowed to do. This was a bad omen, so when we volunteered to complete the obedience test first, we should have expected her to be completely distracted and barely pay attention to the commands. UGH! This dog is too independent. It makes me have second thoughts about having such a smart dog. She was really hyper for the first part of her class, but totally mellowed out and started acting timid and nervous at the end. It may have been the one new dog, a really playful chocolate lab puppy who wanted to be Addie's friend, but she was having none of that. We got some good group pictures of our class, and you can see how well Addie was behaving...
