We spent the weekend camping at Twin Oaks Park on Lake Cypress Springs. It was only fair to give this park a second chance after two years ago when we endured a deluge the entire stay, earning it the nickname "Twin Soaks Park." This time was quite a bit better, although we all packed up a day early in anticipation of the downpour coming on Monday.
Drew and Jamie were first to arrive, and as soon as we arrived, Noah and Audrey made sure to entertain them.
Our home for two nights:
After learning to fish back in the fall at a state park, Noah received a Star Wars fishing pole from Papa and Mamie for Christmas. This weekend, he FINALLY got to try his hand at fishing.

Saturday turned into a beautiful, sunny and warm day! We were so grateful.

| Saturday's dinner was Bring Your Own Meat and we all shared sides and desserts! There was SO MUCH food! Bacon cheese fries, homemade beans, fruit salad, pasta salad, spinach salad, Texas caviar, rice krispie treats, chocolate chip bars, pistachio "green stuff..." |

Some of the bigger boys (and Olivia) got it into their heads to collect fallen limbs and break them into small enough pieces to fit in the fire pit. They were quite entertained for awhile!
On Sunday after worship, the sun came out again and we enjoyed a leisurely day and yummy lunch of walking tacos before packing up later in the afternoon. I also got pictures of every family!
