The Friday before Spring Break, Audrey's school held their annual Field Day.
One of the first events was Tug-o-War. Each class is a team, and Audrey's teacher Mrs. Brooks holds the title. She was really into it, coaching the kids and giving them lots of encouragement! They beat every team they went against and won first place out of the second grade!
Also in the morning, the kids had a games rotation where they got to play tag, hula hoop, etc. It was just some down time for free play.

It also happened to be Audrey's friend Jude's last day at her school. He moved back to Georgia over Spring Break. We are sad to lose such a good friend!
Some special people came out to cheer Audrey on!

Another event is the beanbag toss!
And one of my favorites: scooter board races! Audrey placed 2nd.
In the afternoon, we watched Audrey race to second place again in the 75-yard dash!
Another indoor event is the "Javelin throw," where they actually throw pool noodles with fins. Audrey placed second AGAIN!
The last event was the sack race. Guess what? Second place!
A fun, temperate, beautiful and successful field day! Who knows--it might double as our end-of-year party, the way things are going. It's crazy to think about how long it's been since the kids have been at school!
