We are back from California and trying to recover from the jet lag and the constant going! Chris, Steph, Noah and I flew out to Orange County last Friday. Drew, Jamie, Jimmy, Tracy and Greg drove the 2-day trip and met up with us that evening for the rehearsal dinner for Tony and Lindsay, Chris' second cousin.

Saturday evening was the wedding--a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception at a country club in Simi Valley.

Sunday we said goodbye to that family and took a short trip to Torrance Beach where Drew and Jamie grew up.

We also stopped to visit Toni, the lady who used to watch Chris, and her son Marty. We then headed to Temecula to visit Chuck & Jackie before checking into the hotel. Monday we drove to Mira Loma to visit Skip (Jamie's brother) and his wife Debbie for a BBQ and bubbles, among other things.
Tuesday was our trip to Disneyland--crowded but beautiful weather and lots of fun to do with Noah for the first time. Noah was unafraid of the characters and rides, so we all had a fun but exhausting day.

Wednesday we unwound in Temecula with Chuck and Jackie and Karen; Thursday we visited some wineries with Uncle Kirby and Aunt Karen and then ate a delicious dinner at their home, followed by a marathon game of Monopoly (is that redundant?).

Friday was the big family & friends party at the Redmans' house where we saw a lot of people that Noah had never met, as well as some I hadn't met.

The masochists left at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning for the 22-hour-straight drive home, while Chris and I moseyed our way to the airport with Noah and flew home that afternoon.

We had such a wonderful time with our beloved family and dear friends on this trip! We hope it won't be too long before we get to see you all again.
