What a busy weekend! We started with celebrating Christmas with my mother's side of the family on Friday evening. Noah had such a great time playing with his second cousins Madison, Brayden and Mason. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so do not have pictures of the family fun we had... but I got some on Mom's camera, so maybe someday they will make it to my blog.
Saturday, my sister-in-law Stephanie graduated from college with a degree in education, specializing in interdisciplinary studies. We had lots of family and friends in town: grandparents Dick and Barbara, Aunt Tracy, and California friends Jimmy and Charmaine.
Sunday was Christmas with my dad's side of the family, along with a wedding shower for my dear cousin Adrian and her fiance Matt. Noah will be in her wedding as the ringbearer on January 8th, and I'm playing the flute for two different pieces during the ceremony!

At my aunt's house, we were able to celebrate with half of my dad's siblings and their families--Nancy, Tony, Kay, and Barby. We missed Lynn, Dan, Janet, and Jennifer, but it is rare that we are all together for the holidays. Still, my cousin Josiah (Tony's son) and his wife Tina were there with their two-month-old son Gabe, whom we had not yet met! It has been awhile since I've held one that small and fragile. At one point Noah was nowhere to be found until Chris found him watching Gabe cry, and Noah was empathizing. He told the whole group, "Baby CRY!" and made this pathetic crying face. At another point in the evening, Noah was again missing (we must be terrible parents) and we finally found him, after some frantic searching, in one of the back bedrooms with my cousin Anne's grandmother and great aunt. These two sweet elderly ladies were resting when Noah happened upon them and decided they needed entertaining. That episode ended with Roxy, Anne's great aunt, on her hands and knees playing peek-a-boo with Noah.

And, finally, to Noah's great relief, we managed to see Santa Claus today and Noah was able to ask him for cars for Christmas. He did so well, sitting on Santa's lap and smiling for pictures, then asking for cars. When he got down, Mrs. Claus handed him a coloring book, but Noah shook his head and said, "No. Cars!" Like, didn't you hear me? I asked Santa for cars! Oops... forgot to tell him that Santa doesn't bring his toys until Christmas Eve.

At least Noah sat for Santa. Colton would have nothing to do with him! He wanted to look at the train display! Cassidy and Nicky did see Santa. Where did you get Noah's pic done? The Santa at Lincoln Square was awesome-they were reasonable, and all the money goes to a local charity.
Parks Mall. We bought the lowest pkg, which was too high. I probably could have gotten away without buying one, but they always make you feel like you have to.
