Saturday evening my baby sister got ENGAGED to a great guy, Mark B. It was a great evening to celebrate with family and her soon-to-be family!

Mark arranged weeks in advance for Diana's family to be waiting at his sister Andrea's house in McKinney to surprise her. He took her to dinner at a popular restaurant in McKinney, under the ruse that his dad had a client cancel and gave them his reservation. Diana claims she knew he was planning to propose! After dinner, they went into a boutique whose owner's blog Diana follows. Mark had arranged for a photographer and had given the ring to the owner to display with other jewelry. He had to steer Diana back to the jewelry section, where she saw the ring and said she liked it. Mark said, "You like it?" or something along those lines, then took it out, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
Diana called my parents, so they had to go in the bathroom to talk to her so she wouldn't suspect anything. Mark then took her by his sister's to show off the ring, and we all were hiding when they came in. So fun! The ring is beautiful and I am really happy to have Mark for a brother-in-law. He's too nice, though--we'll have to toughen him up. They are thinking about tying the knot in the fall.
Congratulations! Love you, sis!
