| Our camper (okay, Jamie and Drew's...) |
This weekend marked 32 weeks of pregnancy, which I celebrated by camping at Lake Whitney with my church family! You may think I'm crazy, but it really wasn't bad. The weather was amazing--warm, but very breezy and actually comfortable outside. The lake was icy cold, the delicious giant breakfasts were wonderful, the fellowship with Christians was rejuvenating, the time spent playing, talking, and eating was irreplaceable.

We had a nice turnout: Chris and me with Noah shared a trailer with Joe, Kelly, Caleb and Levi (they came from Maine!); Clay and Lisa and their kids Ethan and Rachel; Scott and Amber with their kids Amiya, Emmy and Bubba, plus Angie's kids Tyler and Ethan; Kevin and Jenny with their kids Olivia and Sophia, plus two of our favorite college girls Haley and Amy; Stan and Sherrie; Rick and Vicki with Nic and J. Paul (they stayed in a nearby hotel but came early every morning to make breakfast for all!); Randy and Brianna with Olivia, Chris and Alex; and Doug and Tanya with Noah and Scarlett. The kids spent lots of time on bicycles and tricycles (Noah rides his trike but does not use the pedals--he maneuvers it Fred Flinstone-style, with his feet, much to the amusement of everyone watching) or in the lake, swimming. The guys played a lot of bocce ball, softball and football, and the women spent plenty of time playing games and talking. It was a great way to enjoy our weekend and glorify God. We had a worship service Sunday morning after breakfast--it's always refreshing to appreciate God's creation while praising Him for his many blessings.
