Looking Back

Some of you followers don't have facebook or don't receive daily pictures and emails from my iPhone, so here's a sampling of the last few weeks!

Audrey and Charlie Chaplin love to nap together. They fight over who gets my lap.

Uncle Greg and Aunt Tracy came to town for Chris' birthday party, and the next day, "Aunt TT" snapped this shot in the car. We were headed to Fuzzy's Tacos after church, and Noah was in his Batman disguise.

You never know what enemies may be lurking at Fuzzy's.

On my birthday, Noah's school happened to be hosting a mother's luncheon and performed for us:

 Noah answered a few questions about me, too!

A few days later, Audrey learned to clap, thanks to her brother!

Audrey's 9-month check-up: 

21 lbs (88th percentile)

No shots that day! Yay!

On Mother's Day, my sister and Mark met us at Palio's with my parents after church for a relaxing Mother's Day pizza lunch out on the patio. That afternoon, Drew & Jamie returned home from California, so Chris and Stephanie made a delicious pork chop dinner at their house. This is Noah upon arrival:

One of Audrey's favorite things to do is to wake Noah up in the morning! 

(She also enjoys being in his room, getting into his things, etc.)

The other day, I had to video Noah "reading" a Bible story to Audrey.

(He LOVES to get his Bible out and "read," especially joining the Bible studies we do with Jimmy, Courtney, Stephanie and Michael weekly!)

Audrey loves to blow raspberries, and it works even BETTER with baby food!

My cousin Adrian came to town from Austin Friday, and we got to spend some time with her and her mom, Aunt Kay-Kay! Adrian is expecting a girl in August! Aunt Kay-Kay was practicing her grandma skills with Audrey at lunch:

 At school the other day, Noah was doodling on the back of one of his papers and drew this picture. He tells me it is God, with a crown of jewels, creating the Earth. It's one of my favorites!

And today, I got Audrey's tendency to beg for food on video. This is an everyday thing--she sees anyone eating, she wants to try it!

I should note that Noah and Audrey are beginning to act more like siblings. They are fighting! Noah will do something that irritates Audrey, usually taking back a toy of his that she has found, and Audrey will SCREAM at a decibel that would make dogs howl! Yesterday at the grocery store, they were sitting together in the cart, "driving." Audrey had a toy and was playing her favorite game--throw it on the ground and scream until someone picks it up. She was throwing it at their feet in the cart, where Noah could pick it up, and instead of just leaving it there and ignoring her, he would pick it up. BUT he wouldn't give it back... so Audrey would SCREAM!!! Then I would say, "Noah, just give it back to her!" and Noah, always in parenting mode, would argue with me that Audrey would just throw it again so he wasn't going to reward her by giving her the toy. UGH. I seriously had a pounding headache and had to take two ibuprofen when we got home. I'm sure this is just the beginning!
