With the advent of the school year, I am feeling nostalgic about our breakneck-speed summer and wanted to look back, especially for anyone not following on IG or FB! (That's you, GGB!)
June opened with a star-studded performance with THE Rolling Stones! Audrey and Noah both recognize "You Can't Always Get What You Want" within the first couple of bars as "The Rolling Stones"! #proudmoment
Noah's artwork of his school was chosen for display at the Performing Arts Center. He is so talented!
We knocked out some to-dos, such as dentist appointments and swimming lessons with Ms. Suzy (on the same day)!
Of course, we had lots of time in Nana & Pandy's pool!
I was honored to take some pictures of sweet six-month-old Josiah at my house.
We were fortunate to spend a little of our summer with MeeMaw and PawPaw:
Mom and I joined my sister, aunt and cousins to see the Cinderella musical at Fair Park!
I watched my little sister's belly grow as we anticipate the arrival of my first nephew!!!
Diana and me at a shower thrown by her sister-in-law, Andrea
Noah continued to practice the writing skills he learned in Kindergarten...
...and Audrey continued to annoy her brother by indiscreetly using his stuff.
I took advantage of an incredible opportunity to travel to Ireland when Chris was there on business!
We had so much fun with our ladies' Bible class group doing activities every Tuesday.

Arlington Skatium
We beat the heat with water and rain boots:
As always, we celebrated the 4th in style!
One of several trips to Hurricane Harbor coincided with half price cones at Sonic!
Noah's big plans for a play date at the new house came to fruition:
Thank goodness, VBS was a huge success and we got it out of the way! (Kelly and I took over this year, and I only doubted that decision a few times.)
Noah and Sophia on the ambulance at VBS: Jesus to the Rescue!
We didn't miss an opportunity for free Chick-fil-a!
Six Flags fun!
Victims of Roaring Rapids
Six Flags with church friends
I introduced family and friends to the wonder that is Gone with the Wind:
$0.50 corn dogs at Sonic!
Backyard baseball with Levi
Zoned out at Mellow Mushroom
Driving the Mustang with Levi
July was extra-special with a birthday princess turning three!
Lest you think it's all fun and games, even princesses have chores to do!
A whirlwind road trip to southern California:
My kiddos love and appreciate all of their great-grandparents!
Our last day with Grandpa Chuck
San Diego
When we got home from California, Audrey had a play date with Callen:
...and we had an impromptu lunch with my cousins and their kids, including Kennedy, soon to be a big sister!
Audrey at Mackenzie's birthday party
Noah received an impressive black eye while horse playing in line at Six Flags
Daisy and Chaplin adjusted to life in a new house:
Grateful for a meaningful, memorable summer with some highs and lows.
We'll really miss Grandpa Chuck, as he recently passed away after our California visit.
He remains in our hearts and memories as we continue living these blessed lives.
Those lazy crazy days of summer have gone, and we're back to reality...
