Farewell to Florida

On Saturday, our flight wasn't scheduled to leave until 7:30 p.m., so we slept in and finished up the groceries in our hotel rooms for breakfast. Once we were packed and stored our luggage with the concierge, we boarded a bus to visit Disney Springs, the dining and shopping mecca of Orlando.

  I insisted on getting Noah's picture in front of this fake alligator since he was so nervous about the alligators the whole time we were in Florida. As soon as I took this picture, the gator started to growl and stand up and chomp its jaws! It turned out it was a robot, and you should have SEEN this boy jump out of his skin!

After lunch at Earl of Sandwich, we headed back to the hotel to relax and make sure we caught the Magic Express shuttle to the airport.

It was a good time to snap some pictures at the Pop Century resort we called "home" for a week!

Before long, it was time to go. The Orlando airport security screening lines were a nightmare, but we had tons of time so no worries. When we got on the plane, we ended up delayed for maybe an hour and a half total because of a bird strike the maintenance people had to check out... but they couldn't do so quickly because there was lightning in the area. Still, we were so grateful for personal TV screens on the plane to keep everyone entertained! Plus, it gave Noah extra time to start on the make-up work for school, and Audrey focused on putting her Disney experiences into art.

We all have our favorite moments and magical memories from this trip together, and I'm so glad everything came together the way it did for us to experience the Wonderful World of Disney!
