Let the Voting Commence!

Nope, this post is not political in nature whatsoever.

My sister is hosting a Gender Reveal Party Saturday for us, in which everyone will "cast their votes" by wearing either pink or blue. This is a vote for whether they think the baby is a boy or girl, not what they want it to be.

We had the ultrasound yesterday, and due to the above scenario, we had to exercise extreme willpower and not learn the sex of the baby! We told the sonographer the plan, so she was careful not to let us see any incriminating evidence. Still, it was such a great experience--Chris and Noah came, and we were amazed by the size, clarity, and movements of the baby! I have been remarking to Chris about this one's strength at this stage in the pregnancy--he/she can get very active and has quite a kick. Sure enough, the ultrasound showed a very active little one--waving arms, kicking feet, rolling around. He/she had the legs crossed at the ankles, like Chris when he relaxes. Everything was there and measured perfectly; baby was approximately 9.4 inches long (head to toe) and weighs about 14 oz. In the following picture, you can see baby looking at the "camera" and can make out a pointy chin, just like Noah had at this stage.

And this one is a great shot of baby's foot from below--each toe is clear!

So what's your vote? Is baby #2 a boy or a girl? Will we follow the trend on my mom's side--all babies come in same-sex pairs (two boys or two girls for everyone in the family)? Or will this be a girl, giving us a high likelihood of completing our family? Cast your vote!
