Granbury Getaway

Last weekend my friend Kelly put together a little couples' retreat, sans kids. Six couples from church were able to go, and we had such a great time of bonding, relaxing, and refreshing!

We stayed in a house on the Brazos River, not too far from Lake Granbury and about a 20-min. drive from the square. Chris and I were the first to arrive on Friday...

We picked the upstairs room with a balcony!

Soon, everyone else rolled in and the weekend commenced!

We went into Granbury for dinner at Linda's Southern Kitchen... delicious! Seriously, I highly recommend it!

We did a lot of this...

Some brave people cleaned out the kayak and ventured onto the river! (Clay)

Beautiful views and my favorite time of day!

For dinner, the guys cooked meat over a wood fire. Mmmm!!!

That night, Clay pulled out his guitar and hours of singing, dancing and laughing commenced! Also, several of us took advantage of the hot tub ;)

Sunday morning, we ate breakfast and gathered around the fire pit to worship God together.

Then we had to clean up, pack up, and take a few pictures, of course!

Our fun group! Chris & me, Cady & Ryan, Kelly & Joe, Lisa & Clay, Tommy & Amy, Doug & Tanya.
If we had brought our kids, there would be thirteen kids between the twelve adults here!

We headed back into Granbury to explore the square before grabbing some lunch on our way back to reality.
