Audrey's birthday was Sunday so we tried for low-key... well, you can imagine how that goes in our family!
We wanted to do something special for lunch so we picked Ol' South Pancake House near TCU. That way, the kids could chow down on pancakes, Courtney could come from working at the zoo, and several of my Fort Worth relatives could join us!

| Mommy and Audrey have distinctly different reactions to the large stuffed Minnie Mouse from Aunt Di-Di & Uncle Mark |
After she opened presents and ate chocolate chip pancakes, Audrey had a little meltdown and fell fast asleep in my arms. She never does this, but it made this momma happy to hold my sleeping baby, even if she IS two!
After Audrey finished her nap at the house, we went to our church small group devotional that we do once a month. The kids played in a small pool and on a slip-n-slide, Chris led the Bible study, and we ate burgers and hot dogs. Our group sang "Happy Birthday" to Audrey and she enjoyed a cupcake. We went home and gave her the presents from us--a Minnie Mouse dress and a Minnie Mouse pet salon to go with some of the plastic "mee-mows" she already has. Noah gave her two "My Little Pony" dolls and a small pony castle thing.
Tomorrow is the big party for Audrey, and we're looking forward to the celebration with family and church friends! More to come--
