Ten Years Later

Chris and I acknowledged ten fantastic years of marriage last weekend and celebrated with a weekend getaway in San Antonio!

We stayed at the Hotel Indigo on the Riverwalk. Friday evening we did a little exploring, then dressed for a fancy anniversary dinner at Bella on the River. It was delicious and my first experience eating quail! It won't be my last!

Saturday morning we slept in a little, then walked to Schilo's for brunch.

We then decided to pay our respects to the Alamo. #truetexan

Later, we enjoyed walking around and exploring places like the Menger Hotel, La Villita, the mall, and King William Historic District.

Saturday evening, we met back at the Alamo for a Ghost Tour of the city. No paranormal activity that night, but we learned some interesting history!

Our electromagnetic detector device for ghosts, of course

Sunday morning we went to breakfast at Bakery Lorraine in the trendy Pearl area of San Antonio. It was delicious! Then, we visited the Fort Sam Houston church of Christ to worship with them, and even met someone who was related to a member of our congregation!

After church, we went straight to Mission San Jose for a quick tour around the historic grounds.

On the drive home, we stopped for mid-afternoon lunch in Georgetown at Monument Diner... um, it was fantastic. Would probably recommend a trip to Georgetown just for this place!

Looking forward to the next ten years...
