October was a fun month around here, with life pretty much back to (the new) normal!
We made a trip to our local plant nursery to pick out pumpkins and take some photos.
As Halloween approached, we carved (and painted) pumpkins.
A new thing we did this year was to load up the car with our friends and drive about thirty minutes to a neighborhood with a couple of Halloween decorated houses! One of them was a Jurassic Park theme, and it was awesome!
The other was a cemetery theme and it was creepy but lots of fun.
The PTA at Audrey's school hosted a drive-through "trunk or treat" so she was excited to try out her costume, even if she did have to stay in the car.

With the end of October came the end of an era, as Scarlett and Oliver transitioned back to in-person school. Noah and Audrey remain home as virtual students for now. We still see these kiddos every day, though, because they come over in the morning and Oliver rides the bus here in the afternoon!
Tanya dropped them off with Halloween-themed donuts one day!
On Halloween, we started by going over to Jimmy & Courtney's new house and trick-or-treating at a few of the houses on their street. We wanted to say hello to Mamie and Papa and all the cousins before we headed over to Diana and Mark's house!
We headed to my sister's after that for some chili, hot apple cider, and trick-or-treating, 2020 style!
