Noah has been very sick with a virus all week. It started last Tuesday when he stayed at Mamie and Papa's house--Jamie discovered that he was running a fever. Wednesday, he was kind of lethargic, and later that day he ran a really high fever--103.5. Thursday, I took him to the nurse practitioner Leslie (love her), who checked his ears and even tested for the flu. Did you know they have a ten-minute flu test they can do from just a nasal swab? Crazy. Noah told Leslie to "sit" on the roller doctor chair when she came in. He has very strict ideas of what the doctor should do. Anyway, nothing was found to be wrong except a virus, so we went home. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were terrible because Noah was not himself at. all. He whined and cried and tantrumed and whined some more until Chris and I were on edge from the constant emotional roller coaster. He didn't feel well and just lay around the house. Not to mention, he developed a lovely RASH all over his torso, which made me freak out a little and call the nurse Saturday. Apparently, in case you didn't know, viruses occasionally cause these types of rashes (roseola) in toddlers. The rash finally disappeared yesterday and he is almost back to normal. He manages to eat at least a few bites of food per meal a day (over the weekend he ate NOTHING) and is in much better spirits--at least manageably whiney now.
Anyway, all this story to say that we have not done much of interest this week. Noah did get to sit in Papa's truck Sunday and Aunt Snuffy snapped this great picture on her iPhone!
I'm looking forward to a ladies' retreat with my church friends this weekend, and we have planned some camping trips over the next couple of months with various friends and family. Lots to look forward to!
