Thanksgiving and Camping(ish?)

This year, Chris and I spent Thanksgiving Day with Drew & Jamie, Jimmy & Courtney, Stephanie, Jim, Tommy, and Nick. Jamie roasted a delicious turkey and made potatoes and dressing as well; Courtney made homemade mac & cheese plus pecan pie and lemon-blueberry cheesecake; Stephanie made carrots, a ham, and sugar cookies; and I made bing cherry Jell-o salad and spinach casserole. Wow! What a feast! We are so thankful for close family that we get to spend so much time with. We also were mindful of our relatives that live further away, especially those who are having health problems. We love y'all!

Talking to great-grandparents Jackie and Chuck in California!

After our meal and some down time (including a lame Cowboys game), the real event of the day began: TCU vs. UT in Austin. Mom and Dad joined us and true to form, the Horned Frogs showed the Longhorns who wears the HORNS in Texas! HAHAHA!!!

Friday we hitched up and headed out to Fort Parker State Park for some... camping? You decide. Here's the trailer "the young ones" stayed in:

The trailer we borrowed from Mark! :)
Chris and I visited this park in the spring of 2011 with my friends from TCU and we loved it so much, we recommended it. Luckily, even the pickiest campers (my parents) approved!

We were roughing it...

Almost everyone hanging out in the big trailer!

We visited Old Fort Parker (notice Chris' hand sticking out of the window)

Our family (it's like Where's Waldo... where's Audrey?)

We were glad Drew got away for a bit of relaxation!
