Well, it has been a busy, busy week ALREADY here... and that's saying a lot, for us! Our good friends Joe and
Kelly had a worse air conditioning experience than us, and at about the same time as ours went out! Luckily, with ours, Chris was able to clean out the lines himself and I basically just paid a company to send a guy to tell me that my husband had already fixed the problem. That's one of the many reasons I love him! :) So, our A/C was up and running again Sunday night. Unfortunately, our friends' was not. They had to wait on a part, and they were low on the priority list since theirs was warrantied (funny how that works), so we were glad to have them come stay with us starting Monday. We were just relieved not to be in the same boat! It was lots of fun, though a bit more hectic having THREE boys (Caleb, 4 1/2; Noah, 2 1/2; Levi, 1) as opposed to one. Noah's voice and actions are much more magnified when he is having such fun with his friend Caleb. We grown-ups had a good time, putting our kids to bed and then busting out the ice cream and chocolate chip cookies and staying up late! If Kelly and I lived together, I would be sooo fat. Yikes. Well, the fun has come to an end as they finally are cooling down in their own house today, and Noah keeps asking if they will "be right back?"
A recent Noah-ism: Chris got tickets from a friend at work to a soccer game. This friend is a dancer for the FC Dallas soccer team, and she came over to talk to Chris and the family at the game (I was in Houston). Chris told Noah to say hi to her, but he was acting shy. After a minute, though, he turned to Chris and asked, "Daddy... where's her dress?" (Noah is confused because we say "get dressed," so he thinks his clothes are called "dress.") Chris' coworker told the story to the other dancers in the locker room and got a good laugh. I guess Noah and my mother would concur that the dancers are not wearing enough clothing to count...
Today's big excitement is that Chris got the new hockey jerseys he designed and ordered for his current team. The team chose a new name, "Choking Hazard," based on a picture Chris found on the plastic packaging of a computer keyboard. And now, the official unveiling of the jerseys of the soon-to-be-world-famous in-line hockey team, "Choking Hazard":
