Potty Update

No great pictures or anything, here, but just a quick update! Noah is doing really well with potty training. The first day, he had to have a little accident in order to realize why he needs to use the potty, but after that, he got into it. We use a timer and when it goes off, he knows it's time to go. He really isn't too concerned about stickers and charts at this point, and even the appeal of the Reese's Pieces has worn off. The one bribe that worked was getting some Hot Wheels cars to convince him to go #2 in the potty. Mommy doesn't want to be cleaning that up any more than necessary, so I pulled out the big guns right away. He likes to go off and hide to do his business, so I had to bribe him with a CAR every time he goes on the potty! He managed to squeeze a little out the other day, but it is still a bit of a battle. Now, he is doing great on everything else. He rarely has an accident and did fine in the car and at MeeMaw's house today, and we even went out to lunch with him. Chris keeps suggesting Pull-Ups when we are in "precarious" situations, but I refuse! That's like a step back! We only do Pull-Ups for nap and bedtime. Did you know Pull-Ups now come with these velcro strips on the sides so you can still take them off/put them on more like a diaper if you want? Amazing. Anyway, I wanted to share something very cool that my cousin Christa sent me... it's a link to a pull-ups/Disney site that will have a Cars character (or Princess) call your kid on your cell and encourage them in their potty training! A character from Cars 2 called Noah yesterday morning, but he was a little nervous about it. We might try it one more time. Anyway, we are taking him to see that movie tonight, so hopefully it will be a successfully dry evening!
