Family Pre-Christmas Celebration

Drew and Jamie planned to visit Jamie's family in San Angelo over Christmas, so we got together the Saturday before to celebrate.

We were anticipating a huge reaction from Audrey when she opened the gift from Drew and Jamie. We failed to consider that she had just woken from a late nap and had not eaten anything since breakfast, and this was around 4 p.m.! Plus, she was quite taken with the tiny Anna doll Jamie added to the outside of the package.

After gifts, we decorated Stephanie's sugar cookies and acted like children.

Audrey was the official taste-tester

Jimmy couldn't refrain from dispensing whipped cream into people's mouths...

Next, Jimmy offered to give Audrey whipped cream. She didn't take it well.

Finally, Courtney decided Jimmy needed a taste of his own medicine. She warned us, "I've never really used one of these before." We told her, "Just go easy--it comes out pretty quickly."

Well, we're still not sure what happened, but that whipped cream shot out of the dispenser so fast that it apparently ricocheted off Jimmy's face and splattered everything within a 6-ft. radius. We found whipped cream in the light fixture, people!

And best of all, I caught the moment on camera!!!
