VBS Week

Whoa, what a busy week this is! Our church is in the midst of its annual VBS (Vacation Bible School), in which we pick a theme and host almost 100 children for five straight nights. There are drama skits, crafts, refreshments, games, puppets, singing... what more could a kid ask for?! This year's VBS is a "Christian Cowpoke and Rodeo Round-Up," so we've been wearing our hats and boots.

A surprise appearance by Woody (Joe)
Noah is having such a great time, and is now considering being a cowboy for Halloween again instead of the oft-mentioned SpiderMan or Ninja. Audrey also goes to "class" with other babies, and they get to sing songs and ride on a pony.

I have been the "foreman" for the 5th/6th grades, and couldn't ask for a better group! We are having lots of fun. We have 15-16 kids each night in my group alone!

Chris--well, let's just say if you don't sign up for a specific job at VBS, you might just get roped into something you weren't expecting.

Noah's VBS Picture

Audrey's VBS Picture (readin' a book and ridin' a horse--now that's talent!)

Chris' VBS Picture.
That's right, Chris was tasked with playing the cow. Anytime he appears, the kids SCREAM "Moo!!!" (and sometimes "Boo!!!") in his direction. He updated the look recently with cowbells around his neck, which go quite nicely with the boots. He runs up the center aisle of the auditorium like a Mad Cow. So proud.

How 'bout that udder?
